ITINERARY

Day 1: Phong Nha – Road 20 Victory – Hung cave – Tron cave – Nuoc Lan lake Basecamp

08:00	Pick up from your hotel in Phong Nha area. Safety briefing at Jungle Boss Headquarter.
08:30	Depart for hung Thoong Exploration along Road 20 Victory.
09:00	Start trekking through dense jungle to reach Hung Thoong.
11:00	Continue trekking to hang Hung cave
12:00	Picnic lunch at Hung cave.
13:00 – 15:00	Explore Hung cave, and trek to Nuoc Lan basecamp.
15:30	Swim 1,2km into Tron cave.
17:00	Prepare campsite by Nuoc Lan lake.
18:00 – 21:00	Enjoy jungle dinner at basecamp.

Day 2: Nuoc Lan basecamp – Hung Thoong Spring – Thung cave – Nuoc Lan basecamp

08:00	Breakfast and preparation for Hung Thoong Exploration.
09:00 – 10:00	Trekking along the hung Thòong river to discover the Mooc River of Hung Thòong.
10:30	25m abseiling to explore Thung Cave.
11:30	Lunch at the depth of Thung Cave and check in for beautiful photos.
12:30 – 15:00	15m abseiling to discover the underground spring and the rest of Thung Cave; followed by the 20m abseil back out of Thung cave.
15:00 – 16:30	Trekking back to the Nuoc Lan Basecamp.
17:00	Camping next to the Nuoc Lan Lake in hung Thoong.
17:00 – 18:00	Swim at the lake in Nuoc Lan basecamp.
18:00 – 21:00	Enjoy dinner with our local team at the campsite.

Day 3: Nuoc Lan lake – Ma Đa lake – Ho Chi Minh Road

08:00	Breakfast at Nuoc Lan basecamp.
09:00	Trekking through the jungle to get to Ma Da valley.
12:00	Arrive at Ma Da lake for lunch and swim at the lake.
13:30	Start trekking to Ho Chi Minh road.
15:00	Arrive at Ho Chi Minh road. Jungle Boss bus picks you up at transfer to Jungle Boss Headquarter. Ends journey

FOOD

Meals on the tour are freshly cooked by Jungle Boss Chef & Porter Team. The food is fresh and healthy. Below you can find more of what example meals are like:

• Breakfast: Noodles, pancakes, fruit
• Lunch: Fresh spring rolls made with pork, vegetable, cucumber, and peanut salt mixed, “Muoi cheo”. (Vegetarian options: Boiled eggs, Vegetables, Vegetarian fried spring rolls).
• Dinner: Steamed rice, Beef soup with “lot” leaf, Stewed tuna with tomato sauce, slow-cooked pork ribs with carrot, fried eggs, chicken, boiled seasonal vegetables.

What’s in your tent?

You’ll be resting in one of our tents (single or double tent). Each tent comes fully equipped with a comfortable thick mattress, a pillow, a warm blanket, an air fan, and aromatic bags. Jungle Boss Team make sure you’ll enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep after your adventurous day of trekking and cave exploration.

Bath on Tour

Our tours offer campsites situated in proximity to beautiful crystal-clear rivers, and lakes, giving guests the freedom to enjoy a refreshing swim. The dedicated Jungle Boss team assumes the vital role of lifeguards to guarantee the safety of all customers. As part of our commitment to preserving natural resources, the use of traditional shampoo or conditioner in rivers or pools is strictly prohibited. Instead, we kindly ask our guests to use environmentally-friendly, biological shampoo throughout their journey, which will be provided on tour.

Toilet on Tour

Most of Jungle Boss tour is set in the deep jungle without modern amenities. To protect the environment and maintain cleanliness, we offer Jungle Composting Toilet that are inside a tent and consist of a regular toilet seat on top of a box. Inside the box, there’s a waste bucket. Nearby, you’ll find provided toilet paper a container of rice husks. After using the toilet, cover your waste with a scoop of rice husks to keep things odor-free and prevent insects. Once the buckets are full, our team will replace them and bury the waste in a designated spot in the jungle. It will naturally break down and become fertilizer. Please use these toilets for both urination and defecation to maintain cleanliness and preserve the environment. Urinating outside or in the caves is not allowed to avoid odors and harm to the cave ecosystem. We also provide dry hand sanitizer.

WEATHER CONDITION

Phong Nha Ke Bang has 4 seasons with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, it also experiences a monsoon tropical climate, with two distinct seasons: the rainy season and the dry season. The rainy season spans from September to March, while the dry season stretches from April to August. During the rainy season, temperatures can drop as low as 17°C, with January being the coldest month. In contrast, the dry season can bring higher temperatures, with May usually recording the highest temperatures, but most of it is reduced when visitors are in the jungle and the caves exploring, as it might drop to the temperature around 23°C.

When you visit Phong Nha in each season, you’ll always witness a unique beauty. If you choose to visit during the rainy season, the waterfalls in the jungle and the calcite lakes inside the caves will be exceptionally beautiful and full, allowing you to capture memorable photos. On the other hand, if you opt for the dry season, your trekking routes in the jungle will be drier and more manageable. Throughout the year, we are at our most beautiful status from April to May when the weather is dry, cool, and the scenery is at its finest.
